Hallo, George here, mostly to say to both of you 'thanks' for putting sample products out in the Common Rooms, along with the flyers. It seems to working; the owl orders keep growing. Wanted to remind you too that since this is a Hogsmeade weekend, it'd help if you mention to your friends that if they're so inclined they might stop by Zonko's to ask when they're going to be carrying our merchandise again. We figure it can only help (as long as they're polite about it.)

(Mum would be astonished to hear us admonishing anybody to be polite. It's amazing what new facets of character you can plumb when opening up a business.)

Parkinson, along with the next batch of samples we're sending a proposed schedule for the Grand Opening day events. Let us know what you think. Lee's going to lend a hand, but we think we might hire a couple of others from our class who wouldn't mind help ladling punch and manning the till for a day. We plan to offer door prizes on the hour, and we also applied for a one-day permit to set off some of the smaller fireworks from the roof at the end of the day. Nothing too alarming or big, like Ricochet Rockets, but some of the Saucy Salamanders and Dragon Shebangs might be nice. Don't know if we'll get permission, but it's worth a try.

Mum landed another tenant this week. She's pleased, but sort of nervy about everything. We think it'll be good when we're past the Grand Opening. Dunno if her nerves could take the strain much longer.

Sounds brilliant. I'll keep a lookout for it. I'll try to get it turned around as fast as I can -- Mr Snape's got a lot of things he wants Hermione and me to wrap up before we leave for hols.

And I'm sure once the opening is done, things will go smoothly, and there'll be less to worry over.

I know things will be awfully busy, but perhaps I can swing by the shop after closing time sometime during hols and we can all celebrate properly.

And I'll be sure to take Hitty aside and see what she thinks about being put on payroll. She might be a bit sensitive about it, so I'll have to tread carefully, but I'll let you know what we settle on.

Mum said she was going to send you a note: she talked about taking us all out to dinner. But maybe your Mum and stepdad would rather you come home rather that faff around New London after the train gets in? You'd have your trunk and stuff with you, too. So yeah, come for the opening, definitely, and we'll count on at least one other evening together during the school holiday. Maybe once with Mum and once just us. It'll be fun to talk shop.

I'm not sure about mum and Prospero, honestly. They got an invite to the opening, and know I'm going, but I think they're not quite sure how they feel about it and might not be in the mood to spend much time there. I can certainly make my way back to Gloss House on my own time, so I very well may be free for dinner depending on how early they leave.

But yes, an evening with your mum is good, and an evening just us is also good.

Are you taking anyone to the opening?

I really like the light-up icicle wands, by the way. Was that your idea? Seems like something you'd think up. And I'm glad you went with the fairy light earrings instead of the ones that snowed on your shoulders. That looked a bit too much like dandruff, and got really cold besides.

Well, multi-coloured dandruff, but we see your point. Honestly, we're happy to leave all decisions about the, er, girly-type stuff to you. Ginny, for one, would shriek at the idea of the two of us dispensing anything like fashion advice.

There's no doubt that girls like to spend their pocket money as much as boys do, so any ideas you have, keep sending 'em our way.

Is there anywhere in New London you'd like to go for dinner?

And I can think of a few places where I'd like to be escorted by two dashing gents. Depends -- if you want to dress up and hob-nob a bit, I can see if I can get us a table at Il Bargello, or The Lanes, but if you're in the mood for just good food without the fuss, we could just go to Hedgepig and kick up our heels, or Biryani's if you'd rather have a bit more quiet.

Good thing is, I've already been talking to people about going by Zonko's. A bunch of us wrote them letters back when they first dropped you. And we'll all go in and let them know how disappointed we are they don't have the stuff we really want to buy. Your things, I mean. So, yeah. On it.
